NEW ORLEANS (NOLA NOW) - Here’s a list of events happening in New Orleans and the surrounding areas this weekend from March 7 to March 10.

Drake, J. Cole co-headline ‘It’s All a Blur Tour: Big as the What?’ Tour

After rescheduling his tour three times, Drake fans can finally see the superstar rapper perform in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center on Wednesday and Thursday.

Drake co-headlines his “It’s All a Blur Tour: Big as the What?” tour with rapper J. Cole. Officials with ASM Global want to remind concert-goers that the Smoothie King Center is a cashless operation, and the clear bag policy will be in effect for this concert. Gretna Irish-Italian Parade

Gretna goes green this weekend. The Gretna Irish-Italian Parade rolls through the streets of Old Gretna for its second year at noon on Sunday.

Organizers say they expect this year to be even bigger than last year. The parade will include 40 floats, 15 bands and 11 marching groups. Participants will throw more than 1,000 sacks of cabbage, along with other produce. Other throws include local seasoning, beads and other trinkets.

The parade route starts at Franklin and Burmaster Streets and ends at 4th Street and Huey P. Long Ave. After the parade, there’s a free afterparty at the Gretna Farmer’s Market with a performance from Rockin’ Doopsie Jr. from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, visit the website.

Slidell St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Slidell St. Patrick’s Day parade rolls for its 49th year in Slidell’s Olde Towne Historic District at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Organizers say the parade features more than 50 floats, vehicles, dance groups and school bands. Parade-goers can also expect produce, beads and stuffed animals as throws. Organizers say bring your shopping bags or buckets. The parade starts and ends at Slidell City Hall. See the parade route here.

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live: Glow Party

For the first time, the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live: Glow Party comes to New Orleans on Saturday and Sunday.

Fans of all ages can experience the thrill of watching their favorite Hot Wheels monster trucks in the dark. The glow party production also features a laser light show, theatrical events, dance parties and a special appearance from a transforming robot.

Three shows are scheduled this weekend, with showtimes at 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, visit the Smoothie King Center website.

Katt Williams: ‘The Dark Matter Tour’

Actor and comedian Katt Williams brings “The Dark Matter Tour” to New Orleans at the UNO Lakefront Arena. Williams has recently made headlines after going viral for his “Club Shay Shay” podcast interview with Shannon Sharpe.
