NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Today’s the day!
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest has announced its full 2024 lineup and Foo Fighters, Chris Stapleton, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, and Vampire Weekend will join as headlining additions to the Rolling Stones, who are headlining Thursday, May 2.

Other notable names appearing from April 25 through May 5 are The Killers, Anderson .Paak, Jon Batiste, Greta van Fleet, Trombone Shorty, Earth, Wind & Fire, and many more.

In 2022, the Foo Fighters were scheduled to headline Jazz Fest but canceled due to the death of longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins. The Red Hot Chili Peppers were then tapped to fill the headlining spot. Since the death of Hawkins, the Foo Fighters have played two tribute concerts in honor of the legendary drummer and they announced that they are recording a new album back in April.

In May, the Foo Fighters announced Josh Freese as their new touring drummer in place of Hawkins.
Local names of note included in the lineup are Big Freedia, Juvenile, Irma Thomas, P.J. Morton and many more.
