NEW ORLEANS, La. (NOLA NOW) - Discovery Fusion is combining virtual learning with in-person student support, allowing students to tailor their education to fit their schedules throughout Louisiana.
Discovery Fusion, a tuition-free hybrid virtual charter school, is part of the expanding Discovery Schools network of schools.
The hybrid virtual school provides students with personalized experiences as they progress at their own pace. Learning online offers students' flexibility. In person learning allows social interaction with peers and teachers.
This helps provide a sense of community when students aren’t learning virtually.
Parents assist on this learning journey by monitoring and supporting their child’s hybrid education.

Students can easily schedule a one-on-one virtual meeting with their teacher if they require additional support in a specific subject or content area.
The Discovery Schools network has been operating since 2013, earning A and B ratings from the Department of Education from inception. Discovery Fusion is the latest addition to the Discovery Schools network.
Enrollment is now open for the 2025-2026 school year. Any child entering grades 4th through 10th next year can apply online.
